“You don’t miss your water, till your well runs dry”.
- Otis Redding
"Sometimes being a practitioner of ashtanga yoga is blissful...
But sometimes it’s really tough..."
During these cold winter mornings - ignoring the alarm and cozying up under the covers can be very tempting! However it is important that we find time and motivation to keep up our daily practice, as it can be vital to both our Physical and Mental health!
The dark and dreary winter days can have us foucusing on the negatives...I hate the cold. My body feels stiff and sore. There is too much snow . The traffic will be terrible. Its so dark out. and on and on. What we don’t do and what we should be doing, is shifting our focus to the positives. And the best way to do this? By counting our blessings.
I challenge you to not reach for your phone first thing... instead sit, write down personal thoughts and things that you are thankful for each day. This will quickly put your life into perspective and allow you to see how amazing it really is.
